Pop star cocktail

There’s something very exciting about the rich amber hue of whiskey, its smooth warmth, and the depth of its flavour. Whether you’re unwinding after a long day or hosting friends for an evening of spirited conversations, a well-crafted whiskey cocktail can easily elevate every moment.

From the bold and aromatic Old Fashioned to the refreshing Whiskey Sour, some classic concoctions have stood the test of time and offered a unique twist to the spirit. Here is a recipe for pop star, a cocktail that reimagines the timeless Old Fashioned and is crafted using a D’yavol Vortex which is a premium blended Scotch whisky. Pop star infuses the rich and smooth D’yavol Vortex with the playful flavours of popcorn, a hint of sweetness of the Okinawa sugar syrup, and the aroma of the angostura bitters.

This cocktail is a perfect balance of bold, sweet, and savoury, and will make for the perfect drink for all your celebrations.

Note:
  • Double the ingredients when cooking for more people to ensure everyone gets a fluffy stack.
  • Swap out eggs for mashed bananas, yogurt, or flaxseed mix if you're vegetarian or allergic to eggs.
  • Use buttermilk instead of regular milk for extra soft and airy pancakes.
  • Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking to get fluffier pancakes.
  • Cook on medium-low heat to avoid burning while ensuring even cooking.
  • Add vanilla extract or cinnamon for an extra touch of flavor.
  • Top with fresh fruits, nuts, or honey for a delicious and healthy twist.
