The perfect dessert for milk and pista lovers!

The perfect dessert for milk and pista lovers!

Tres Leches, a unique cake that’s drenched in milk, is indulgent, juicy, and perfect for those who love cloyingly sweet desserts. Enter Pista Tres Leches—a festive twist on the classic Latin American milk cake, reimagined with everyone’s favourite richness of pistachios.

If Holi had a flavour profile, it would most definitely be creamy, nutty, and just a little over-the-top (hello, ghujiya, thandaai, and all other desserts we love treating ourselves with on the festival of colours). This dessert delivers exactly that, and add some more. Toasted bread slices, brushed with butter and caramelised sugar, form the base, and then comes the star of the show: a creamy, rich pistachio paste made from blanched American pistachios, blended to perfection with milk and cream. It’s earthy, naturally sweet, and gives the dish its pale green, almost festive colour.

Served cold after a day of colours and lots of sunshine, this Pista Tres Leches is all set to add a delicious twist to your celebrations.

Note:
  • Double the ingredients when cooking for more people to ensure everyone gets a fluffy stack.
  • Swap out eggs for mashed bananas, yogurt, or flaxseed mix if you're vegetarian or allergic to eggs.
  • Use buttermilk instead of regular milk for extra soft and airy pancakes.
  • Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking to get fluffier pancakes.
  • Cook on medium-low heat to avoid burning while ensuring even cooking.
  • Add vanilla extract or cinnamon for an extra touch of flavor.
  • Top with fresh fruits, nuts, or honey for a delicious and healthy twist.
