You can rarely go wrong with a margarita. And now imagine your colourless margaritas turning pink! Whether you are hosting a summer soiree, planning a cosy evening at home, or craving to sip on a drink that looks as good as it tastes. The drink delivers a perfect balance of tart, sweet, and citrusy flavours that leave your palate tingling for more.

This recipe of Margarita is sourced from Shaker Sutra: The Tulleeho Book of Cocktails, authored by Vikram Achanta.

At its heart, the pink margarita stands true to the classic cocktail and takes everything you love about it—tequila’s bold kick, the tang of lime, and the subtle sweetness of triple sec (orange-flavoured liqueur) but elevates it with a splash of grapefruit and cranberry juice.

It is basically the Margarita dressed in pink. This particular cocktail features  tequila blanco, triple sec, lime, and grapefruit that keep the cocktail refreshing, agave rounds it off, and a dash of cranberry adds colour. The drink is fresh, balanced on the palate, and effortless to sip.

Note:
  • Double the ingredients when cooking for more people to ensure everyone gets a fluffy stack.
  • Swap out eggs for mashed bananas, yogurt, or flaxseed mix if you're vegetarian or allergic to eggs.
  • Use buttermilk instead of regular milk for extra soft and airy pancakes.
  • Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking to get fluffier pancakes.
  • Cook on medium-low heat to avoid burning while ensuring even cooking.
  • Add vanilla extract or cinnamon for an extra touch of flavor.
  • Top with fresh fruits, nuts, or honey for a delicious and healthy twist.
