As we enter 2026, a new year calls for new tables to discover. And Delhi never disappoints. The city is already buzzing with new openings that promise everything from nostalgic and comfort flavours to bold, experimental, and unique experiences that the city has yet to experience.

With the opening of Benne, which has quickly become a crowd favourite, a cocktail bar that reimagines pills in your medicine cabinet into well-crafted drinks, and a restaurant that brings a slice of Mumbai to Delhi, these new launches are setting the tone for the year ahead.
If eating out is on your list of resolutions (or indulgences), consider this your essential checklist of the newest restaurants in Delhi NCR worth booking, queuing up for, and talking about this season.

Benne

Mumbai’s most loved South-Indian hotspot, Benne, has finally opened the gates in the capital with a new outpost in the GK 2 M-Block Market.
Cherished and loved by many, it is infamous for having long queues at all times of the day. This is thanks to its no-reservation, first-come, first-served policy. Scenes outside the Delhi outpost are no different. Ever since its opening, locals have flocked to the shop from early morning till late evening.
It brings Bengaluru’s popular Benne dosa to the capital. The dosas that are served with dollops of ghee, alongside chutneys and sambar are highlights from the menu. Other loved items from the roster include their filter coffee, available both iced and hot, the garlic benne dosa, the idli sambar, and the filter coffee soft serve (which is a personal favourite). Their menu is ingenious. It does not overshadow the classics, yet serves the palates of Gen Z and millennials alike.
The ethos of the brand is the only thing better than the food. They treat all customers as equals. There are no reservations and no “good” seating. In fact, most eat their dosas while standing. Benne

Painkiller

With new cocktail bars coming up in Delhi every fortnight, the city’s cocktail scene seems to be at its ever best. Currently, a bar that has taken over conversations in the capital and has been on everyone’s minds ever since it opened in December, 2025, is Painkiller in Hauz Khas. And for all the good reasons. It is hands down, one of Delhi NCR’s most experimental, out-of-the-box, and unique bars at the moment.
Sandwich shop by day and cocktail bar by night, Painkiller serves exactly what its name suggests: drinks named and themed after medicines you can find in your medicine cabinet at home.

Painkiller is Delhi’s newest obsession!
From Dolo 650 to Ciplakiller, their bar is stocked with the cure to your seasonal depression, and trust us, they won’t be shy to prescribe it all! This bar-cum-sandwich-shop is quickly becoming a favourite not just among cocktail connoisseurs but also for Friday nights and Saturday evenings.
To go with their cocktails is a food roster that is equally impressive. Thai-inspired dishes crowd the menu! Favourites include Bangkok rice cookie granola, charred corn ribs, jungle crab curry donuts, chilli basil dirty fried rice, and mama noodles. The vibe is exactly what you imagine: intimate, contemporary, and dim just the right way.

SOBOMBAE

This new spot in Gurugram,  headed by Chef Ajay Chopra, bring a slice of Mumbai to Delhi NCR. Highlights from the menu include the Sago wada, dabeli croquettes, Bombae bravas, bharlela pomfret, and mawa jalebi (served with rabdi/ice cream).
Unique desserts like the bakery trifle and bohri mille-feuille are some other must-tries from the roster. Expect authentic, bold Mumbai flavours with occasional nostalgic twists. Other crowd-favourites include strawberry dahi gujiya, smoked chicken pasanda, and Awadhi bun kebab.
If I had to recommend one preparation from their menu that you should absolutely try, it is their chai biscuit ice cream. It features a combination of all childhood-favourite flavours in a single bowl. SOBOMBAE is ideal for Mumbaikers seeking a taste of home or Delhiites exploring Mumbai’s diverse cuisine.

Dirty Apron

Previously located in Safdarjung Enclave, Dirty Apron has reopened at The Piano Man‘s Eldeo Centre outpost. The restaurant offers an intimate dining experience that features thoughtfully-handcrafted dishes that impress with flavour and presentation in equal parts.
The roster features influences from the European and Asian cuisines. Standouts among the starters include their mutton balls, edamame and truffle dim sum, stuffed mushrooms in nonya sauce, and sushi tacos.
As for mains, some favourites include kimchi fried rice, quinoa and truffle risotto, spicy miso black cod, Asian lamb osso buco, and grilled pork belly. Pizzas, especially thin-crusted pizzas, are another specialty.
Because a meal is never truly complete without a dessert, some of the best options on the menu include the churros bowl sundae, tiramisu in a jar, and the yuzu bar.
The ambience is chic and moody, blending rustic charm with elegant and cozy settings. Soft jazz, low lighting, and décor that is reminiscent of a vintage hotel create an inviting atmosphere.

Timings: Monday to Sunday (1 pm–1 am)
Price for two: INR 3,000

Mocha Café And Bar

Mocha Café and Bar in Connaught Place offers a seamless blend of  a café and a bar. First introduced in Delhi in 2004, Mocha helped pioneer the city’s sprawling café culture. Its revived version in CP now blends this legacy with a contemporary touch as a café-cum-bar.
