Kai, a restaurant and cocktail bar offering global cuisine, has recently opened its doors on Bengaluru’s MG Road. Perched on the 13th floor of Du Parc Trinity, the restaurant serves carefully crafted cocktails while offering the most beautiful view of the city.
Highlights from the global menu, with a pan-Asian focus, include drinks such as Meiju and a Togarashi twist, as well as preparations like Basil Butter Prawn with crispy bread, Penang Curry, and their extensive range of sushi and dumplings. Circa 11
Circa 11, founded by Chef Pradyumna Harithsa, is India’s first shapeshifting dining room— one that is designed to transform from a coffee bar in the morning to a restaurant and cocktail space by evening.
The ingredient-forward menu features dishes that use global techniques. Highlights from the menu include the stuffed zucchini blossoms, truffle bhel, chicken thigh terrine, and char-grilled tiger prawns.

The Circa claypot rice is an umami-rich dish, layered with charred mushrooms and is a must-try from Circa 11’s menu.
Signature cocktails from their roster include Last Night on 12th Main (toasted rice–infused bourbon layered with sesame tincture and pear shrub) and Bellandur Foam (blends limoncello, amaretto, mezcal, cilantro, mango, and jalapeño brine).
If you are a teetotaller, go for their neon mirage (clarified dragon fruit shrub, citrus oleo) or ginger bloom (pickled ginger, rose-lychee, jasmine).

Zarqash
Zarqash is a Michelin-starred restaurant by chef Mohit Ghai, located at the Ritz-Carlton in Bengaluru. On the menu are Indian classics reimagined and presented to you in a form that will leave you surprised and impressed.
Must-tries from their menu include khaman dhokla apple (his take on the Gujarati snack), the duck seekh kebab, mutton biryani, mushroom and truffle pulao, and the tandoori morel mushrooms and broccoli. Zarqash’s six-course tasting menu is a highlight that shouldn’t be missed. It encapsulates the essence of the restaurant, featuring dishes that utilise seasonal ingredients sourced from across the country.
Their cocktail menu takes the restaurant’s idea forward and features cocktails prepared from ingredients like tamarind and rose petals. Some must-tries from the cocktail roster include Benarasi resham and Mysore glow.

Nombre Coffee
If you are in Bengaluru and looking for a lovely coffee shop to catch up with a friend or spend some time collecting your thoughts over a cup of well-made coffee, then Nombre Coffee in Bengaluru’s JP Nagar should be at the top of your list.
While their classic and coconut hot chocolate are both hits, you should also try their cold-crafted beverages. Highlights include the orange coffee cooler and tiramisu latte. If you are a matcha stan, Nombre Coffee also offers many options. However, the iced honey lemon ginger matcha and iced coconut matcha should be your picks if you want to play it safe.

Apart from this, the coffee shop also offers the classic pours along with some coolers. Pair your sips with their avocado, ricotta, and chilli oil toast, their peanut-centred cottage cheese bites, or the katsu tofu sandwich. If you want to go for a larger portion, the jasmine rice bowl is a no-brainer.

Bringing a slice of Europe to Bengaluru is Marseli, a restaurant offering over 300 in-house preparations from the Italian cuisine. Highlights from their menu include their garden and English breakfast spread (from the spread, the truffle sunrise toast is a diner favourite), smoked salmon and avocado tartine, mushroom and cheese croissant, all their bagels and smoothie bowls. The breakfast menu also includes an array of pancakes and crepes. Go for the Italian berry pancakes or nutella crepes.
From their lunch menu, go for the Louisiana BBQ chicken strips, Da Vinci focaccia, all American crunch, truffle mushroom pizza, and sugo rosa from the pasta options. The cafe does not offer alcohol but you could pair your meal with your favourite brews or coolers.
