New cocktail bar in Indiranagar

New cocktail bar in Indiranagar

Indiranagar has a new spot for food and cocktails with the launch of Mirth, a 65-seater bar tucked just off 100 Feet Road. Founded by four lifelong friends—Sundeep Reddy, Arsau Elango, Santosh Balan, and Prasanna Govindappa—Mirth blends old Bangalore nostalgia with modern-day buzz, making it a fresh yet familiar addition to the city’s thriving bar scene.

The Drinks

The cocktail program at Mirth has been designed by Dev Narveker (Petisco, Goa) and is led by Head Mixologist Omkaar Vidhyadhar Parab. The menu features a mix of playful signatures and reimagined classics, each with its own distinct personality. Whiskey lovers can try Pour Me A Slice, a bold concoction infused with Gouda and blue cheese, balanced by cherry, hibiscus sake, and honey tincture. For those who enjoy smoky and earthy flavours, the Martini Revolver brings together tequila, mezcal, and a house-made jalapeño brine, while the Slow Current serves as a spicy highball layered with Gundu chilli and sumac salt. Lighter, refreshing options such as Clear Intention and Lavender Line cater to those who prefer crisp and fizzy drinks. Beyond cocktails, the bar also offers an impressive whiskey collection, making it a destination for connoisseurs as much as casual drinkers.

The Food

The kitchen is helmed by Chef Baljeet Singh Mehra, whose “fusion without confusion” philosophy is shaped by his experience in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, New Zealand, and at celebrated Indian restaurants such as Slink & Bardot and Roxie. The menu balances bold Asian flavours with coastal Indian influences, creating comfort food that is both familiar and exciting. Dishes such as Sunny Side South, a creative spin on Goa’s ros omelette made with Asian-spiced chicken and Malvani curry, showcase the playful approach to regional flavours. Mezze lovers can explore East Meets Mezze, which brings together hummus, edamame, and sriracha, while meat enthusiasts will enjoy the smoky crunch of Crackle Theory pork. Pasta finds a place on the menu with Napoli Heatwave, where spaghetti is tossed in chilli oil for a fiery kick. Designed for sharing and pairing with drinks, the menu combines global touches with hearty, flavour-forward cooking.

The Ambience

Once a corporate office, the space has been completely transformed into a bar glowing under warm golden lighting. The interiors are designed to feel equally cosy for conversations and buzzy for nights out, keeping the neighbourhood bar spirit alive. With just 65 covers, the vibe stays intimate and personal—the kind of place where you might spot one of the founders chatting with guests over an Old Flame cocktail and wok-tossed chilli basil chicken.
