Tiramisu is everyone's fav dessert at the moment (and for good reason)!

Tiramisu is everyone's fav dessert at the moment (and for good reason)!

Have you come across those silly Instagram reels where girls obsessed with Tiramisu pull out a life-sized version from under their beds, inside their closets, or the bonnets of their cars? Yes, it quite literally is as inane as it sounds, but that’s just how obsessed the internet has gotten with this particularly scrumptious, coffee-based Italian dessert. From viral adages like “Tiramisu is what dreams are made of” to social media’s ‘Best dessert competitions’ that Tiramisu has won in a landslide (case in point: this one conducted by the popular Instagram handle Pubity), this dessert has us, sweet-toothed fiends, in a chokehold.

Mumbai is no different. Every popular spot across the city is coming up with its own twists on this dearly beloved dessert, one additional ingredient at a time (pistachio, caramel, Baileys—you name it). The result? Tiramisu flavoured everything: from lattes and cold brews to matcha and cakes, everything you know and love probably comes in a Tiramisu variant now.  And why wouldn’t it? Imagine this: A creamy whisp of mascarpone laid carelessly atop bitter espresso-soaked savoiardi, with a generous dusting of chocolatey cocoa. It’s heaven, but made edible.

The only downside of having a city so obsessed with one dessert? The bar is set sky-high. From over a 100 options to choose from, we’ve narrowed your horizons down to these 6 spots in Mumbai that are whipping (pun intended) the best Tiramisu in town. Read along, and don’t forget to save space for dessert!

Pomodoro

Pomodoro is one of Bandra’s most loved Italian eateries, thanks to their hand-made pasta, open and live kitchen, and a Tiramisu plate as big as your face (not an exaggeration), served to you on the table.

Run by Chef Afshaa, this restaurant, too, has incorporated tiramisu into the very life of the restaurant, as one of their most ordered and go-to desserts (and coffee orders). Oftentimes, they even make it right in front of you—their famous deconstructed tiramisu—so that you can take in the whole experience of the dessert, one bite at a time. Pillowy and cushion-like, the tiramisu looks like it’s straight out of a glossy magazine spread—it’s magic served in a coffee-flavoured dish, and we are here for it. The dessert is often praised for its fine layers and fluffy finish, with a near-perfect finish. Good luck getting a reservation there!

Americano

It looks like no one’s doing Bombay’s Tiramisu better than the city’s most loved Italian joints, because second on the list is one of Fort’s cult-favourite spots for all things pizza, pasta, and now Tiramisu—Americano.

Their silky tiramisu is hailed across the city as one of the best, thanks to the generous helpings of rum as well as the dark chocolate-covered wafer disk on top. It’s unique, it’s transcendent, it’s bittersweet, and it’s even crunchy—all in one. One bite will leave you asking for more because no one can have just one. Trust us, the trip across the Sea Link will be worth it!

Address: Radha Bhavan, 121/123, Nagindas Master Rd, Kala Ghoda, Fort, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400001

Timings: Wednesday to Friday (7 pm–1 am), Saturday & Sunday (12–4 pm, 7 pm–1 am)

Mami

If an Italian nonna ever decided to open a cool, design-forward food joint in Mumbai, it would probably look a lot like Mami. Launched in March of this year, Mami caters only, and only, to the tiramisu lovers of Bombay.

Founded by Enrico, an Italian pastry chef from Bergamo, Italy, this Bandra gem is a tiramisu pick-up and delivery service, selling the iconic dessert in the most unique way across the city. The process to acquire Enrico’s tiramisu is simple: go to Mami’s website, pick your poison (or tiramisu, in this case), and it will arrive at your address on the following day. It’s tiramisu delivered at your doorstep, quite literally—what more could we ask for?

This contemporary Italian spot takes all the warmth and familiarity of home-cooked food and wraps it in an effortless, new-age setting. The brand is all about one thing: the ultimate tiramisu fix. With just a single spot-on item on the menu (yes, they mean business), with multiple flavours, it really doesn’t get better than this. Hurry—book your pre-order slots asap!

Address: 77/E, Pleasant Villa, Galla 3, Waroda Rd, Ranwar, Bandra West, Mumbai, Maharashtra

Timings: Monday to Friday (Delivery starts at 12 pm), Saturday (Available for pick-up)

Price for Two: INR 1,050

The Table

Another spot nestled in the nooks of SoBo, The Table’s tiramisu is popular for using sponge cake instead of the traditional ladyfingers, turning it into a dessert that’s more like a decadent slice of cake than your usual coffee-soaked Tiramisu. And honestly, we’re not complaining.

A special addition to their tiramisu? The rich coffee liquor Kahlua.  It’s creamy, almost melt-in-the-mouth, and the coffee beans are just roasted enough. Hailed as one of Mumbai’s finest, The Table has even earned a spot on the list of the ‘World’s 50 Best Restaurants’—and for good reason. Of course, their tiramisu has got to be up there!

Did anyone say Ti-ra-mis-u, me, and a spoon—name a better trio.

Address: Ground Floor, Kalapesi Trust Building, opposite Dhanraj Mahal, Apollo Bandar, Colaba, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400001

Timings: Monday to Saturday (12–4 pm, 7 pm–12:30 am), Sunday (11 am–4 pm, 7 pm–12:30 am)

Price for two: INR 5,000

Gustoso

You cannot possibly call yourself a certified tiramisu lover without trying (and loving) Gustoso’s infamous version at least once.

Widely renowned as one of the best tiramisus in town, Gustoso is known for its dessert’s thick layers, creamy (not cloying) texture, and sweet yet just bitter enough flavour. The kitchen leans into its true Italian flavours—think wood-fired pizzas with crisp, airy crusts, pastas cooked just right, and a bar that takes its cocktails and wines seriously. The perfect end to your meal? The tiramisu, obviously.

The cocoa dusting gives you that classic finish, while the texture? Almost cloud-like. In a city where tiramisu is everywhere you could possibly go, this one still manages to feel special and worth saving room for.

Address: Plot 109 Kwality House August Kranti Marg, Bridge, below Kemps Corner, Grant Road, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400026

Timings: Monday to Sunday (12–3 pm, 7–11:30 pm)

Price for two: INR 3,500

Mr Misu

At Mr Misu, located in the twists and turns of Ranwar, Bandra West, dessert gets the star treatment—because here, it’s all tiramisu, all the time.

With a menu laser-focused on the classic Italian dessert, Mr Misu serves up everything from the slick and coffee-soaked original to salted-caramel, Nutella, matcha-berry and egg-free variations that win over even the most dedicated sweet-tooths. The vibe is very cosy and very cute: think cream and wood tones, soft lighting and a dessert-first agenda. So whether you’re after the “tira-miss-U” latte or a box of mini misu bites, this is where tiramisu lovers go to lose count of the calories and embrace their love for the dessert over and over and over again.
