There are some places you walk into and instantly feel the vibe. For me, Miss Margarita in GK2 was exactly that. I went during the evening, and the dim lights, scented candles, and cosy corners gave it that perfect date-night energy. The décor is straight out of Mexico with bamboo hats, colourful wall hangings, and quirky art that instantly lifts your mood. The whole place feels playful yet warm and totally Instagrammable. If you book your table in advance, they’ll even put a cute name board on it. Small gesture, big impression.
The Food
We started with the Smoked Chilli & Pepper BBQ Chicken Skewers. Smoky, spicy and tender, with the Morita sauce giving just the right kick. The Beer-Marinated Mexican Hot Wings followed, and honestly, I lost count of how many I polished off. Crispy outside, juicy inside, and that tangy fermented hot sauce made them completely addictive.

The El Pastor Chicken Tacos were proper comfort food. Juicy flame-grilled chicken, jalapeño pico, a splash of salsa roja, and a creamy garlic aioli that tied it all together. But the real showstopper of the evening was the Spicy Avocado, Yam & Black Bean Bowl. Think lime rice, salsa verde, beans, jalapeños and chunky avocado all coming together like a hug in a bowl. If there’s one dish you must order here, this is it.
The Drinks
Now, onto the cocktails (because what’s a night at Miss Margarita without them?). The La Ginaloma was a refreshing twist on the classic Paloma, swapping tequila for gin and mixing it with grapefruit and agave. Light, zesty and just the drink to keep conversations flowing. The Asteroid 66 leaned boozy and bold with whisky, Campari and rosso mellowed out by a coconut fat wash. Definitely one for those who like complex flavours.
We finished with Cinnamon Churros which were crispy, golden and perfect for dipping. Between the chocolate chilli salted caramel, rainbow sprinkles and custard, it was a sweet little fiesta on its own.
