Desserts can make or break a meal. While Delhi has some iconic, century-old bakeries like Wenger’s, Maxim’s, and Defence Bakery among others, over the years, many new places have come up in the city that serve great sweet treats and offerings that can serve as a great close to your meals. Here’s a list of five spots in Delhi NCR that you should check out for desserts.
Torte, Gurugram
Torte is an experiential dessert bar in Gurugram that opened doors in January this year and is a joint venture by Chef Ridhi Wadhwan and influencer Kusha Kapila.
Some highlights from a wide range of their artisanal desserts include the dark Belgian chocolate cheesecake, whiskey chocolate charlotte cake, blueberry lemon tart, biscotti, and chocolate crackle tart. My personal favourite is also their chocolate pecan pie and French madeleines.

Standouts from their roster include the la tarte café-noisette, Paris-Brest (almond and hazelnut) pastry, chambord pastry (dark chocolate and raspberry), and L’Aubery.
A summer standout from their menu is the L’Été indien’ (translates to Indian summer) is a light and eggless entremet that is completely mango-flavored and textured by a lime-zest streusel, a mango-yogurt biscuit, a fresh mango-mint compote, and mango-vanilla mousse.

Some must-tries from their roster includes the tripe chocolate croissant, sticky pecan roll, chocolate orange cupcake, dark chocolate and pistachio cookie, and lemon blueberry tart . They also offer a range of savoury options for you to pick from. One category from the savouries that everyone has been talking about are their open toasts and sandwiches.
