As scorching heat envelops Delhi NCR, restaurants and cafés across the city have taken it upon themselves to treat us with dishes that fit well with the soaring temperature. From fresh salads to fiery flavour pairings that will definitely cool you down, Delhi’s foodies are in for an unforgettable treat that will make the next few months bearable. For mango-lovers, there’s even more to look forward to.

Here’s our round-up of the best summer menus in the city that you must check out if you’re in the mood for fun and flavour.

Arts Room, Eldeco Centre

Arts Room is a spot in South Delhi’s Saket where art blends with immersive dining. The restaurant has launched a vibrant summer menu that features refreshing starters and mains that are light, flavourful, and ideal for summer indulgence. The watermelon, feta salad, and shiso leaf prawn tempura is just the right start to the meal.

A dish roster that places mango at its heart is another must-try at Arts Room. Try their very nice salad featuring mangoes, cilantro, papaya, and peanuts and the tuna carpaccio. Desserts like mango mousseline, mango pistachio tart, and the iconic mango boba rice. Consider pairing your meal with the mango bubble tea, which is a hit among diners.

Call Me Ten, Vasant Vihar

As Delhi peaks with summer, Call Me Ten, the city’s modern Japanese izakaya, unveils a summer menu that is inspired by the classic izakaya culture.

Designed for languid afternoons and vibrant evenings, the menu features a comforting ramen selection–miso chicken, shoyu pork, and mushroom tantanmen.

The Japanese caesar salad is another must-try preparation from the menu. It is packed with onions, miso cream, and almond crunch, while the compressed watermelon salad is elevated with truffle ponzu and avocado.

From gyoza platters to cooling zaru soba and fire-kissed robata skewers, each dish is thoughtfully composed. The raw plates, including salmon tartare, tuna tataki, and hamachi tiradito, are light, layered and apt for a summer meal. For the full journey, the sushi and sashimi platter delivers an omakase-style exploration.

Dakshin Canteen

Run by Chef Ruchira Hoon, Dakshin Canteen brings to Delhi a new summer menu that combines a vibrant celebration of south-Indian nostalgia and seasonal freshness.

From their chilled manga rasam with appalam and  cheemen manga curry (Kerala-style mildly spiced prawn and raw mango in coconut milk) to mambhazham mor kozhambu (mangoes stewed with coconut and yoghurt), the menu brings the exact freshness and comfort that summer needs.

While they offer a crunchy maddur vadai that is as good as the fiery Andhra green chilli chicken, they also compensate the spice with cooling concoctions like Puli Ananas and Manga Panna. The menu allows you to slip into the culinary charm of South India while beating the heat in Delhi.

Their chocolate kunafa, apple and rosemary tart, and pistachio macaroons are to die for and are my favourite desserts from their roster.
