House of Paloma, Mumbai

Paying an ode to Latin American flavours and ingredients, a new bar, House of Paloma, has opened its doors in Mumbai’s Bandra. It is a cocktail-forward space where a blend of artistry and storytelling makes its presence felt on your plates, glasses and even in the space.

It was founded by friends and founders Prathik Shetty, Chethan Hegde, and Samarth Shetty, who have long been in the hospitality industry and lie at the helm of many other restaurants across the country.

Paloma’s vision is shaped by the founders’ travels, love for contemporary art, and a deep connection to the global cocktail culture. The bar pays homage to Latin American culture, ingredients, and flavours through the cocktail and food menu. The name of the cocktail bar is derived from the Latin American tequila-based paloma. This cocktail is deeply connected to Mexican culture and is one of the most popular and accessible drinks.

Ambience At House Of Paloma

Located in the heart of Mumbai, the cocktail bar spans 2,900 sq. ft. and offers al fresco seating for over 40 people, indoor seating for 30 people, and a private dining room that can accommodate 15 guests. Interiors at Paloma are designed in collaboration with architect Sumessh Menon

Interiors feature natural textures, bold artworks, bespoke ceramic chandeliers, and sculptural details. They have also collaborated with Goan contemporary artist Siddharth Kerkar, whose large-scale artworks anchor the design narrative of the bar.

Drinks At House Of Paloma

The bar lies at the heart of the House of Paloma. Helmed by Head Mixologist M Sunil Prathab, he has curated a menu in collaboration with consultants Rahul Raghav and Karl Fernandes.

Some standout sips from the menu include the fruity and floral mogo mogo (white rum, raspberry, thyme, and Mogo Mogo tea, lifted with coconut jelly), 3 am confession (vodka, melon liqueur, and in-house Champa wine), and red room (cacao gin, ross, campari, cacao butter, coffee bitters, and a shard of in-house chocolate bark).

Their iconic Paloma 1950 is the bar’s ode to its namesake. It reimagines the classic cocktail with Patron Silver, in-house grapefruit cordial, fizz, and a rim of Tajin dust.

Pair it with your preferred bar bites. Standouts include the amber sweet crunch (crispy sweet potato hiding green pea and truffle cream) and Cheesy Swirls (golden spirals lifted by a hit of desi Schezwan gel).

Ingredients are shared between the bar and the kitchen, which creates seamless pairings. With seasonal menus and limited-edition runs, Paloma’s bar is constantly evolving and ready to surprise you whenever you return.

Food At House Of Paloma

Seasoned chef Pranay Shinde leads the kitchen at House of Paloma with Chef Sombir Chaudary, co-founder of SOKA Bangalore, serving as House of Paloma’s food consultant.

They have collectively curated a playful menu that celebrates authentic global cuisine.
