Foo, one of Mumbai’s much-loved restaurants, has opened doors at Phoenix Palladium’s newly unveiled Gourmet Village. The new restaurant, envisioned as Foo 2.0, brings everything at the heart of the restaurant and makes the city fall in love with it. However, it comes with new arrivals on the menu, a renewed visual vocabulary, and a deeper focus on design and immersive energy.
The Pan-Asian flavours and versatile ambience of the eatery make it a go-to destination for everything from lunches and family dinners to after-work drinks and group celebrations.
Additions To Foo’s Food Menu At The Gourmet Village
The new restaurant at Mumbai’s Phoenix Palladium introduces a selection of dishes created exclusively for this location.
Standouts include the spicy tropical salad (assorted lettuce, avocado, yam bean, grapefruit, orange, and a tangy sesame dressing), the fiery cottage cheese maki (a vegetarian roll with takuan, avocado, and hot sriracha), and the spicy chicken maki (scallion, cream cheese, and fiery Thai sauce).
Some must-try dim sum-style offerings include the Peking wonton and Peking prawn wonton, which are packed with zucchini, pok choy, and water chestnut in a bold chilli sauce.

Heartier additions include the quinoa, black bean stir-fry, the hot corn stir-fry tossed in Foo’s signature sauce, and a ginger-glazed fish preparation called siakap in soy. Their rolled duck pancakes served with plum, mustard, and chilli oil sauces are a great pick too.
Apart from freshly-introduced dishes, the menu also features some crowd-favourite preparations. These include the truffle togarashi black rice maki, the spicy tuna maki, truffle and edamame dumplings, and sriracha chicken dumplings. Some big plates for which diners keep returning include the Foo yellow curry and the signature Foo blue butter Japanese fried rice.
If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss Mount Foo-ji, popular as the restaurant’s show-stopper dessert platter.
The Drinks Menu At Foo, Phoenix Palladium
Foo’s bar debuts an exclusive cocktail menu at the Gourmet Village outpost. Highlights from the menu include the yuzu T&T with tequila (cucumber, yuzu and basil), TNT with tequila (grapefruit, jalapeño shrub and sea salt), fiery espresso (vodka, reduced caramel coffee, chilli tincture and kumquat marmalade), coco rise (rum, coconut, aperol, yuzu and lemon), and tropical G&T (gin, mace, pineapple and honey shrub).
Like their food menu, the beverage menu has retained all of the diner-favourite cocktails. The Foo King, Foo Queen, and Kokum Club are some must-tries. Alongside are a selection of sake, homegrown gins, and in-house rice beer that remain cult favourites.
Ambience At Foo, Phoenix Palladium
With a capacity of over 120 people, Foo Phoenix Palladium features diverse seating options — from cosy two-seaters and banquettes to pod-style booths and a private dining room (PDR).

Envisioned by interior designer Sarah Shama, the space offers the right balance between open, free-flowing spaces and intimate corners. Featuring curved blue archways with intricate step details, tile inlay floors that ripple like waves across the room, and bold design moments like the dramatic red sculptural light element that sweeps across the ceiling like a ribbon, Foo at Gourmet Village is where great ambience brushes shoulders with delectable dishes.
The bar sits under a multi-layered blue canopy at the end of the restaurant. The layered roofs of traditional Japanese temples inspire the canopy. This suspended structure shimmers under ambient lighting, shifting from rich indigo to vibrant azure. Below it, the blue veneer counter glows like a jewel. The two combine to form a sensorial stage for the restaurant’s much-loved cocktail experience.
