Wagamama in Mumbai

Wagamama, the globally popular modern Asian dining concept rooted in the vibrant culture of Japanese ramen bars, has officially launched its first India outlet. Located at the historic Cambata Building in South Mumbai—home to the iconic Eros building.

What’s On The Menu?

The menu brings together some of the brand’s most loved international dishes—like the classic chicken katsu curry, yasai yaki soba, chilli prawn ramen, kare burosu, and bang bang cauliflower—alongside an assortment of gyozas and steamed bao in vegetarian, chicken, prawn, and lamb options. For those with a sweet tooth, the indulgent golden banana katsu stands out as a must-try dessert.

Complementing the bold food offerings is a thoughtfully crafted beverage list. Expect fresh-pressed juices, Asian-inspired cocktails, mocktails, wines, and spirits—all curated to enhance the complexity and comfort of the dishes.

What’s The Vibe?

True to its ethos of communal, unpretentious dining, Wagamama’s Mumbai outpost marries minimalist design with welcoming warmth. The interiors are a contemporary blend of brick and concrete textures, natural wood finishes, and neutral tones—all inspired by timeless Japanese aesthetics.

Bench-style seating and flexible table arrangements encourage shared experiences, while open kitchens allow diners to watch meals being prepared fresh in real time. With clear sightlines and an energy-filled layout, the restaurant embraces the brand’s “eating house for the soul” philosophy.

What’s Next?

Following a warm Mumbai welcome, the brand is preparing to expand to Delhi NCR, with plans for more locations in the pipeline. Each opening, according to the team, will be measured, strategic, and rooted in quality—staying true to the Japanese concept of Kaizen or continuous improvement that Wagamama lives by.
