The Oberoi, New Delhi, is all set to welcome Executive Pastry Chef Pablo Gicquel from Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, for exclusive patisserie and afternoon tea experiences at The Oberoi Patisserie and 360° from August 22 to August 30, 2025. This is a part of the Oberoi Hotels & Resorts’ ongoing collaboration with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (the O & MO alliance).
Originally from the Basque, Chef Gicquel grew up immersed and interested in the patisserie culture of Northwest France and later trained at some of the country’s finest culinary schools. After working as a pastry chef in luxury hotels across France, he moved to Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, to expand the reach of his authentic yet contemporary French Patisserie.

European bistros and Parisian cafes inspire the Oberoi Patisserie in New Delhi, which offers calming and chic interiors for guests to pause and enjoy freshly-baked savoury delights and sweet treats.

Chef Gicquel will present an irresistible selection of artisanal cakes and pastries at the Patisserie. Highlights include milk chocolate and pecan nut cake, New York cheesecake, and strawberry love cake.
Chef Gicquel will also host the Authors’ Lounge Afternoon at 360°, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant that offers the perfect setting for an enjoyable afternoon tea with family and friends. The Oberoi, New Delhi’s selection of single-origin coffees and loose-leaf teas will accompany the chef’s pistachio cookies, rhubarb and jasmine tea flan, and red berries yoghurt tartlet.
