Tepah by The Bagh is Amritsar’s first dual-concept restaurant, a space that transforms according to the hours, mood, and energy. It was founded by the Nayyar siblings, Shreya and Shorya.
The space seamlessly changes from a café by day to a high-energy cocktail bar called Roots by night. Thus, bringing to the diners an experience that combines an inviting, comfortable daytime atmosphere with the energy of a lively evening.
Tepah offers an exhaustive roster of globally inspired dishes, indulgent desserts, and a dedicated coffee program. Roots, on the other hand, offers innovative cocktails crafted by Bartender Anshul Tiwari.

Food At Tepah By The Bagh
Helmed by Rajesh Thapliyal, Tepah’s kitchen offers a blend of café-style favourites with globally inspired small plates.
This one-of-a-kind restaurant offers an elaborate breakfast spread that includes tartines, croissants, bagels, and sandwiches, as well as handmade pastas, meal bowls, and a select few Indian-inspired dishes.
Some standout dishes on the menu include the root salad paired with locally sourced goat cheese mousse, hot honey-topped chorizo Neapolitan flatbread, and black fettuccine from their handmade pastas.
The menu also incorporates Asian influences, with dishes like the Peking Duck Rice Bowl, paired with fermented pickles for a bold, umami-packed experience.
For those with a sweet tooth, Chef Anukriti Anand presents a signature selection of desserts featuring exquisitely plated sweet treats, complemented by a rotating display of celebration cakes and artisanal desserts available all day.
Enjoy The Roots Takeover With These Cocktails
Roots takes over as the evening progresses. The menu focuses on Tapas and small plates, which perfectly complement the bar’s signature cocktails.
Bar sides and small bites you must try include Thai chicken skewers, truffle chicken and water chestnut gyoza, and bold twists like achari olive and truffle chicken tacos.
The experimental cocktail menu pushes creative boundaries and reimagines familiar flavours through unexpected pairings.
Some signature drinks include the vodka-based, rosewater-infused Lassi. Truffle trade, the open door, gin-based mulberry house, and family highball are some other must-tries from the menu.
Whether you are looking for a bright morning or a high-energy night, Tepah in Amritsar is the spot for you. It evolves with the rhythm of the day, suiting all your moods, and offering an experience that is ever-inviting, effortless, vibrant, and unforgettable.
The Space
The 5,800-square-foot space, with a seating capacity of 138, features a mix of café-style seating and high-standing tables designed to match the shift from daytime comfort to an upbeat nightlife setting.
It also features a private dining space with a cosy lounge setup that can cater to 25-30 guests.
The space is inspired by the philosophy of nature beyond greenery. The design moves away from symmetry in favour of organic movement—curved, undulating walls, ceilings that flow like eroded rock, and seating arrangements that foster free-flowing energy rather than rigid order. Elements like terrazzo flooring, sculptural boulders, and charred wood preserve the raw beauty of nature’s transformation, adding rich depth and tactility to the space.
