Bhai Dooj is more than just a festive ritual — it’s a celebration of sibling love, laughter, and, indulgent feasting. The day marks the end of Diwali festivities and the city’s restuarants and eateries are all set to bid adieu to the festival in the best way possible. From festive buffets spreads and recent openings to a unique experience at one of Delhi’s most popular speakeasies, here’s a round up of the places where you could plan your Bhai Dooj feast.
Trouble Trouble
Giving Fig & Maple a makeover is Chef Radhika Khandelwal and partner Ravish Bhavnani, who have recently opened Trouble Trouble, a spot in GK 2 M Block Market that is becoming a talk of the town. It is an ideal spot for hosting your Bhai Dooj feast, thanks to its innovative food and beverage offerings.
While the menu features some hits from Fig & Maple’s roster, including their eponymous salad, if you are wondering what to order, here are a few suggestions: lemon-and-parmesan tagliatelle, beetroot-feta-herb risotto, the tenderloin steak with black pepper and mash, and the chicken ravioli with mustard and parmesan.
The cocktail program at Trouble Trouble is the showstopper. Titled ‘intrusive thoughts,’ some highlights from their menu include the tequila-based Lao Gan Margarita, the soda lemon ginger pop, and the Double Barrel (a mix of bourbon, Malbec Shiraz, cherry liqueur, and bitters).
If you are looking for a dessert that will not only surprise you but will make it your and your brother’s favourite list, go for their Affogato Say You’re Cute. It blurs the line between a dessert and a cocktail, featuring vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, salted caramel gelato, popcorn, and a chocolate wafer.

Savourworks And Pod
If I were to plan a Bhai Dooj lunch in Delhi, I would hop on to the speakeasy trend for my feast. If you think it is over the top, start slow with a visit to Savourworks, a chocolate and coffee shop in Greater Kailash, which also houses PodPod, a newly opened speakeasy in the city.
Start your meal with your preferred brew paired with their sandwiches, burgers, or salads. Some of their coffees that you must try feature interesting ingredients like Aloha (a blend of espresso, tonic water, and Mandarin syrup, topped with orange-infused caramelised sugar) or Trio Pina (a house-made coconut puree base, mixed with pineapple sauce, and topped with an espresso shot).

To pair with your brews, try their crispy buttermilk chicken burger, exotic vegetables in shiitake sauce, or pesto penne as your siblings begin to guide you to Pod. This speakeasy aims to give its customers a sense of entering a cacao pod. The theme renders the bar its name and is a way for it to stay true to the location (inside a chocolate shop).
After sipping on their artisanal brews, let the craft cocktails at Pod unleash their magic on your evening. The cocktails are inspired by coffee, chocolate, and Thai flavours. Highlights include the whisky-based night shift, Mae Ping (vodka, green chilli, kaffir lime, lemongrass, ginger & honey, fresh lime, ginger ale, and soda), and Khao San Cream (rum, sake, toasted sesame, raw mango, toasted rice, coconut, and fresh cream). Pair your drinks with bar nibbles like fried prawns, yang skewers, and gooey cheese wontons.

The Palette Café
If you and your sibling enjoy painting together, then the Palette Café at Dhan Mill is a perfect spot for your Bhai Dooj outing. A great idea would be to paint your favourite childhood memory together. As you unleash your inner Picassos and revisit the old days, enjoy a hearty meal.
Highlights from the menu include their chicken shawarma wrap, tandoori paneer burger, quatro pizza, and halloumi cheese steak. Their mac and cheese is a total hit.
Their baked cheesecake with blueberry compote or Nutella poured over is delicious, and so is the tiramisu with coffee liqueur.
