Delhi’s food scene reinvents and evolves with each passing day as new eateries and restaurants with unique menus and one-of-a-kind interiors crop up across the city. From India’s first Aztec bar to a restaurant that resembles your favourite uncle’s dining room, Delhi has it all. If you are someone new to the city or one who has exhausted every restaurant there is, and is looking for new ones, here is a list of the capital’s new hot spots that you must try before it’s too late.

Mestizo, Vasant Vihar

Mestizo, which opened its doors in Vasant Vihar’s Priya Market in March this year, brings the warmth and vibrance of Latin America to the heart of Delhi. The restaurant serves an eclectic mix of authentic flavours from Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Spain, paired with handcrafted cocktails and an immersive ambience.

The earthy textures, handcrafted elements, bold hues, tropical influences, and energetic atmosphere will take you on a journey across Latin America. The restaurant houses private dining and flexible event spaces that can accommodate over 135 people. An evening at Mestizo features a memorable dinner with energetic Latin music performances and dance showcases.

Mestizo offers a roster that is relevant for all. From a carefully curated selection of meat-forward dishes, creative vegetarian creations, and gluten-free options, it is a place for all. If you are a meat-eater, don’t miss their churrasco-style lamb chops and birria.

For vegetarians, their tableside guacamole with handmade tortillas, grilled vegetable empanadas, and mushroom tacos should be go-tos. Don’t leave the meal incomplete without the dulce de leche churros and their standout, tres leches.

Their bar program showcases the region’s finest spirits—Argentine malbec, Chilean cabernet sauvignon, tequila, mezcal, and pisco—recast into craft cocktails. A full selection of wines, beers, and other premium spirits ensures that there is something for every palate.

Mama Killa, Mehrauli

Delhi’s newest and India’s first members-only Aztec bar, Mama Killa, has opened its doors.

A fleet of stairs from Swan (also owned by Kalra) in Mehrauli will lead you to Mama Killa, which gives you a view of the beautiful Qutub Minar. The restaurant’s call to fame would be their dessert- and food-inspired cocktail menu. Their pizza-illa is a pizza in a glass, and the mango-flavoured ceviche is worth trying.

While the drinks are the hero at Mama Killa, the compact food menu complements them just right.  Some standout dishes include black mango maki, tamago maki, tori karage with avocado mash tacos, tropical prawn robata and comfort wings sous vide in Coca-Cola.

Address: Above Swan, Ward No. 1, Kharsra No. 1501, Kalka Das Marg, Mehrauli, New Delhi.

Price for two: INR 3,500

Timings: 6 pm to 1 am

Odella, Green Park

Odella is located in Delhi’s Green Park. The fine-dining space takes inspiration from the Baroque movement and the philosophy of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola to create a space that not only features Renaissance-inspired interiors but is also a beautiful convergence of art, culture, and gastronomy.

Start your meal with their smoky gucchi galouti, jackfruit enchiladas, truffle rock shrimp tempura or mansa ghee roast. For mains, you could either go for their pan-fried tofu, basil mushroom linguine, or their iconic nihari. The inclusive nature of the menu comes alive in the dessert menu, where the pistachio baklava rubs shoulders with tres leches- all are to die for.

While everyone will suggest that you try the jasmine-gin-based Venice sunset or the tequila-based Cape Route, I would pick their Juliet, which combines tequila with pandan honey to create a fleeting sonnet in a glass. One could also go for their masterpiece, which is kissed with passion fruit’s tropical tang.

Address: 2nd floor, A, 3, Sri Aurobindo Marg, Block A, Green Park Extension, Green Park, New Delhi, Delhi 110016

Price for two: INR 4,000 (without alcohol)

Timings: 12 pm to 1 am

Uncle’s, Vasant Vihar

I am sure many of you, like me, sometimes want to step out but still feel at home. Uncle’s in the heart of South Delhi’s Vasant Vihar is here to make you feel just that- like dining in your favourite uncle’s dining room. Whether you are looking for a relaxed time to unwind or a family gathering, Uncle’s is just the place for you.

You can choose what to order from a couple of sections of their compact roster. The blue cheese kulcha, avocado chilla, hatke chicken tikka, and bun tikka sliders make for a great start to the meal. As you progress, look at the main squeeze section. Their raw mango curry with rice or prawn is quite a hit. You could also go for the ghee roast paneer bhurji or jackfruit pollichathu.

As for desserts, choose the forever rose and jamun, which are golden chena dumplings topped with rose syrup and paired with vanilla ice cream. Their kaolin kulfi is innovative and worth trying, too.

The combination of Indian ingredients in their craft cocktails makes for a fun experience. Go for the Samsara-pink-gin-based secret sharbat topped with falooda foam. If you want to play it safe, blindly go for their desi andaz or Uncle’s highball, which have the backing of most diners. If you are not in the mood for a cocktail, they also offer lassis, coffee, and kombucha.

Address: 24, 1st & 2nd Floor, Community Centre, Basant Lok, Delhi, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi

Timings: 12 noon- 11.45 pm

Camo Modern Cookhouse, Noida

Camo in Noida is a 9,000 sq ft modern cookhouse inspired by the allure of Turkish bazaars and featuring Mediterranean and Persian influences. Divided into two sections, one a bar and the other with communal seating, the bar is apt for all kinds of outings—whether it’s a meal with family or a drinks night out with friends, Camo is a place for every mood.

A menu that offers a combination of Indian and Pan-Asian dishes, you must start with their garlic, spinach and burrata flatbread, chilli cheese and edamame dim sum, hot sauce prawn tempura bao, Korean buldak hot wings, which will leave you wanting much more.

For mains, opt for Indian. Their dum biryani is a hit, and so is the overnight butter chicken paired with malahar paratha. You can also go for their Thai curry with jasmine rice or the wok-tossed noodles. Conclude the meal with their milk cake khurchan or one of the four flavours of purani dilli ka kulfa.

From their signature cocktails, you could go for Ms. Chocolatey with a splash of coffee liquor or K-pop, which mixes sesame and peppers with cilantro-infused tequila. These two are diner favourites.
