We love a good karaoke night on the weekend, don't you?

Mumbai is a microcosm of beautiful things. While it’s difficult, yes, but the city offers each visitor incomparable experiences of a lifetime. From sitting at Marine Drive, to munching on bun maska and sipping chai at a small Irani cafe in the bylanes of South Bombay, and from staying on the streets till perhaps three in the morning, right down to swaying to the tunes of your favourite songs in a bar dedicated to bad singing, and great memories.

Say what you want about Mumbai, but this city will never let you be boring—especially after dark. And if there’s one place where personality, confidence, chaos, and pure delusion come together, it’s a karaoke bar—Mumbai’s really all about bringing to life every experience that only exists in your mind. And karaoke is just one among many! Some of my fondest moments in the city have been spent scream-singing Taylor Swift’s ‘You Belong With Me’ and Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ with my best friends, while being horribly off-tune and not thinking of it twice.

The best part? Most of these are among the city’s OG go-tos for the smoothest drinks, most delicious munchies, and of course, the most banging playlists, chock full of 80s and 90s classics, as well as the best of western pop. Below, find our picks for an ultimate karaoke night with friends!

Road House Bluez

Located both in Andheri as well as Bandra, Road House Bluez is an all-time favourite nook-in-the-neighbourhood bar, especially for their karaoke that happens all 7 days of the week!

Among the best karaoke bars in town!

It’s the kinda place on your karaoke list where everyone ends up singing—even if it started as just dinner. Step inside and you’ll get a sense of what kind of space this is almost immediately. On the walls, we have rock memorabilia and retro guitars, while the interiors are dimly lit, mirroring a concert hall rather than your average bar. The crowd ranges from office goers unwinding after work to friend groups eagerly queuing for their turn on the mic—and the karaoke playlist skews heavy on rock, pop, and sing-your-heart-out classics!

But it’s more than just singing. Road House Bluez pairs its karaoke nights with a menu that is sure to suit most palates and preferences on a night out! Crowd-favourites often include the chicken ghee roast pizza, which hits the spot with spicy-cheesy goodness; sausage bhakarwadi for a quirky fusion snack; and fun starters like chicken empire kebabs and vada takoyaki, which pair exceptionally well with a cold cocktail in hand. Signature drinks like the long island iced tea and cosmopolitan keep the regulars coming for more, because they’re oh so strong, and oh so smooth! The star of the show? The generous bowls of popcorn, often served with drinks, keep appearing whenever they run out.

I’ve made incredible memories singing along to ‘Unwritten’ in the Andheri outpost, so I would suggest you visit this weekend with no space for any second thoughts!

Soul Fry

If your ideal karaoke night includes soulful singing (pun intended), incredibly delicious Goan food, and casual vibes, then Soul Fry in Bandra West will become one of your most beloved weekly hangouts in Mumbai. Known for its longstanding karaoke nights—especially on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays—this place draws a crowd that loves to sing classics, rock anthems, and everything in between, while enjoying great coastal-inspired grub and drinks.

Some fun karaoke paired with delicious Goan favourites!

Nestled down a lively lane in Pali Hill, Soul Fry gives off a very distinct Goa-meets-Mumbai energy with fairy lights, seating you’d likely find at a kid’s birthday party, and a well-stocked bar that keeps the good times rolling (something you probably wouldn’t find at a kid’s birthday party!) The karaoke vibe here is very friendly: imagine singing along to nostalgic favourites like Billy Joel’s “Vienna,” or ABBA’s “Dancing Queen.” Because, really, this isn’t a stage for experts but a crowd-cheers-you-on kind of place where everyone gets a turn, shares laughs, and belts out songs late into the night.

However, what sets the experience apart for me? The menu, of course. Soul Fry is best known for its Goan and East Indian coastal flavours: think boneless chicken xacuti, chicken cafreal, tambde kombdi, prawn green chilli garlic, and crispy bombil rava fry that pairs perfectly with a cold beer or cider (before or after your karaoke set). The fish curry rice and Goan prawn curry are cult favourites too, and many regulars swear by the place as a go-to for seafood lovers.

The Den

If your idea of a good karaoke night is more country girl, then this one is for you! The Den’s all about good vibes, better music, and the best cocktails before you even touch the mic.

If you enjoy some good tunes with classic finger-bites, The Den’s for you!

Tucked off Linking Road with exposed-brick walls, quirky art and a laid-back crowd, this all-day café-cum-bar is among Mumbai’s favourite spots to start a night out, or even better—turn a typical Tuesday into an unforgettable one with its lively karaoke evenings. Every week (especially on Tuesdays), the place transforms into a buzzing sing-your-heart-out spot where everyone from white-girl-music loyalists to devoted rock-heads can grab a moment on the mic.

But of course, like all other spots on this list, The Den, too, isn’t just about the music. It’s about the whole experience. The menu is a light-hearted mix of comfort bar food and tasty finger foods that pair perfectly with your drinks and tunes. Think nachos and potato wedges, great for sharing; juicy chicken wings; and thin-crust pizzas that keep late-night hunger at bay. You’ll also find some Goan and continental twists like Goan prawn curry rice and choris pulao if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous before hitting the stage.

But what really brings people back—besides belt-worthy playlists and stages set for spontaneous duets—is the cocktail game! The Den is quite renowned for its well-crafted drinks and even friendlier bartenders who keep the energy high long after your first chorus. Some crowd-favourite drinks include their Bees Knees, Tobacco Old Fashioned, and Eclipse (old-fashioned with pomegranate and elderflower).

3 Wise Monkeys

3 Wise Monkeys feels like a bar transported straight from a place like Bali or Goa, thanks to the immaculate vibes, well-priced drinks, and delicious food alongside your drinks of choice! This popular pub-cum-karaoke bar in Khar West has carved out a regularly returning crowd for their lively Wednesday and Sunday karaoke nights, where people grab the mic and cheer each other on through the night!

The best part? The atmosphere here is very welcoming and relaxed. There’s no judgment from anyone. Just people singing like nobody’s listening or watching, and a crowd that actually backs you up every time your pitch wavers (which mine does, all the time!). Meanwhile, karaoke isn’t the only thing going on: the space doubles as a sports bar too, often packed during big match screenings (especially for cricket fans), so the energy is consistently buzzing.

Food lovers aren’t left behind either. The bar serves a diverse menu of dishes, straddling global pub bites and Mumbai’s most-loved bar food. Some crowd-pleasers on the menu include pizza-stuffed chicken kebabs, chicken ghee roast, kolhapuri hummus, nachos and fries, pasta sizzlers, and Jack Daniel’s chicken wings, which go down perfectly with a cold pint or a fruity cocktail.

For me, this is one of those places in the city where the crowd’s energy really makes the night. Whether you’re singing your heart out, cheering for someone else’s set, or just soaking up the buzzy pub vibe with a drink in hand!

Raasta Bombay

If your ideal karaoke night in Mumbai leans more towards a party vibe than a quieter one, then Raasta Bombay in Khar West might be the pick for you. It’s one of the city’s most colourful and buzzy spots to hit the mic: think Caribbean-inspired décor, reggae and hip-hop influences, rooftop seating, and themed musical nights—including dedicated karaoke sessions (often under names like “Boombastic Monday”).

Raasta’s menu is just as fun as its atmosphere! The drinks list is a highlight here, with its trademark being their “bongtails”—potent, fruity cocktails served in bong glasses—and other experimental mixes like Fog Cutter, Purple Haze, and the tropical White Rhino, which pack quite a punch. To pair with your vocals (or better, to give them some fuel), the food leans more towards global and share-friendly: jalapeño cheese cigars, paneer paprika, porcini mushrooms, wood-fired pizzas, pastas, and burgers all make good tablemates for bigger groups.

Whether you’re visiting to get a taste of the addictive karaoke nights, the panoramic rooftop air, or just for a place with strong drinks that don’t break the bank, Raasta fits every kind of plan! Just roll up with your crew early (it fills up fast), grab a bongtail, and get ready to drop those high notes!
