Is there a right way to drink hot chocolate? Well, my idol is Pippi Longstocking from the story, “Pippi Celebrates her Birthday.” She places an empty cup of hot chocolate upside down on her head, and a little stream runs down her forehead and over her nose. She catches it with her tongue and laps it all up. If you are as big a hot chocolate lover as I and Pipi, then the next time you find a decadent and rich cup of hot chocolate, it should go right up your head too!
Jokes aside. As winters come around, hot chocolate becomes one of the top ten (if not five) things people start craving for. If you are one of them and looking for spots in Delhi NCR where the hot chocolate will not only leave you warm but coming back for more, here’s a roundup from one hot chocolate lover to another.
Savourworks Coffee And Chocolate Atelier
When it comes to coffee and food joints, it is never easy to please Delhiites. However, I would debate that everyone I have spoken to about Savourworks has had good things to say about it. While there is nothing that comes close to their coffee spread (their pistachio white mocha is a hit!), you should definitely try their hot chocolate roster too.
Made with a velvety blend of rich 58% dark chocolate and milk, go with the classic hot chocolate if you don’t wish to experiment. But if you do, then the gingerbread hot chocolate and the peppermint hot chocolate are pure indulgence. Pistachio is an ingredient that has taken over bakeries across India and for me, the pistachio white hot chocolate at Savourworks stands out among all others.
If you wish to level up your experience, then the coffee and chocolate atelier also offers a hot chocolate pour-over experience where the rich and velvety chocolate is poured over a dark chocolate cone.

Manam Chocolate
The year 2025 has been quite happening for Delhi’s foodscape. Looking back, if I think of spots across the city that were the talk of the town, then Manam Chocolate will definitely be on the list. They opened an outlet in Eldeco Centre in April, this year. Among the extensive and impressive dessert roster at Manam, you should give their hot chocolate a shot too.

You can choose from among different varieties of chocolate. The sea salt, hazelnut praline, and brown butter salted caramel variants are highlights from the hot chocolate section. All these Indian-origin chocolates are made from cacao sourced from the West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. Each cup is decadent, rich, and embodies the spirit of Manam to stand true to its farmers and crop.

Colocal
If you talk about hot chocolate to any Delhiite, most of them will mention Colocal as one of their favourite spots for hot chocolate in their city. It is India’s first live chocolate making factory and nothing comes close to the goodness of their hot chocolate.
Their hazelnut hot chocolate paired with marshmallows will make Delhi winters more bearable for you. Another variant that you should try is their caramel hot chocolate. Depending on how chocolate heavy you want your drink to be, you can opt for their classic hot chocolate with different percentages of in-house chocolate buttons. Pair it with a sandwich or croissant of your choice from Colocal’s food roster.

Hashery
If there is one spot in Delhi that is synonymous to hot chocolate, then Hashery it is. You can not only choose your chocolate, but your spice, and another topping too. If you, like me, also crave for ice cream in winters, then their decadent frozen hot chocolates are worth trying too.

Once you choose the chocolate you want to go for, choose from their spice options— from orange zest and ginger to matcha powder and black pepper, the options are many. For an additional topping, you could add nutella, a dash of coffee, or hazelnut. Almost like you curate your own hot chocolate with spices and topping of your own choice.

Bloom Café And Cakery
I first visited Bloom cafe and cakery when a friend suggested the spot for hot chocolate. And hands down, it has one of the best hot chocolates in the city. Whether you are going for the first time or you are a regular at the cakery, there is no way that their signature Belgian hot chocolate is not your favourtite. However, the salted caramel variant is decadent too. They also have something for you if you are a vegan. Pair it with a savoury or another brownie if you are as big a sweet tooth as me.
Their frshly-prepared sandwiches (Indian grandma’s paneer sandwich is a diner favourite) and their biscoff cheesecake are must tries from the menu.
