Delhi NCR’s ever-flourishing dining scene never disappoints. New cafes and restaurants crop up in different parts of the city to give the diners something to look forward to. From new coffee spots to authentic Italian eateries, here’s a round up of the newest entrants that are here to make their mark on the city’s foodscape.

Matram

An ode to dishes from across India, Matram is Dwarka’s first celebrity chef-led restaurant. Featuring regional spices, heritage herbs, and nostalgic flavours, each dish is a tribute to the culinary diversity of the country.

Some must-try preparations from their menu include Kashmiri nadru fritters, bhang-approved chicken samosa, green apple kosimbir, tender coconut chilli fry, Kundapur chicken ghee roast, Kerala mutton pepper fry, and smoked fish tikka. From the main course, go for the pahadi gahat dal, charcoal makhani paneer, Nepalese bhang chicken curry, and Bengali kosha mangsho with luchi. 

From their desserts, go for the baked mishti doi, kheer, or matram kulfi with tender coconut.

Libertario Coffee

Libertario Coffee, a Colombian coffee brand, has recently opened doors and secured a spot among a fleet of eateries that line the GK 2 M-Block Market. With a compact yet well-thought-out menu, the coffee spot is becoming a favourite among coffee enthusiasts.

Some highlights from their menu include smashed avocado toast, butter croissant, soft-baked cranberry oatmeal cookie, and spicy power bowl. Popular choices from their coffees include their signature paz blend (caramel-chocolate), the fruity libre blend or the most-loved ice brown sugar latte.

Mi Piaci

Bringing a slice of Italy to Delhi is Mi Piaci, an Italian restaurant that has opened doors in Mehrauli’s Ambawatta One. Helmed by Restaurateur Priyank Sukhija and Chef Lorenzo Lanzoni, an Italian team serves authentic Italian preparations with a beautiful view of the Qutub Minar at Mia Piaci.

From its appetisers and pasta to its main course and desserts, the restaurant’s menu is an ode to Italian flavours. Some standout dishes include their diavola bites (tender chicken bites marinated with chilli, garlic, and herbs), tartare di tonno (tuna tartare with a hint of citrus), gasse al pesto (Ligurian pasta served with basil pesto or sun-dried tomato pesto), papparedelle al ragu, and agnello ala toscana (tender lamb slow-cooked with rosemary, garlic, and seasonal vegetables). Highlights from the pizza section of the menu include their Ortolana, burrata, and Napoli pizzas.

Some signature cocktails you must try at the restaurant include Pompeii tequila-based paloma, tomatini, and ciao bella.

Organic Bistro

If you are someone who ends up at Khan Market and can’t pick your spot, Organic Bistro is here to make your life easier. A meal at Organic Bistro will bring you delicious and hearty preparations without compromising your health.

Some standouts from the menu include berry chia smoothie bowl, compressed watermelon and fermented beet salad, jalapeno cheese bombs, prawn balchao, jackfruit biryani, purple potato dahi vada, peri peri chickpea hummus, and achari rajma khichri. Their phirni creme brulee, rabri gulab jamun, and jalebi are must-try sweets from the dessert section of their menu. 

Choose your pick from their cold-pressed juices or artisanal coffee. The pineapple and avocado smoothie and orange, turmeric, and lemongrass juice are hits from the beverage menu.

Si Nonna’s, Gurugram

Si Nonna’s, known for its sourdough pizzas, recently opened in Gurugram and is another addition to the city’s list of must-try pizzerias

It offers a compact yet competent menu. Some must-tries from the menu include their mozzarella and jalapeno croquettes, mushroom and bell peppers panuozzo, contadina salad, and eggplant parmigiana. From their pizzas, go for pizza no. 2 (tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, and EVOO) or pizza no. 5 (Nonna’s homemade mushroom cream, buffalo mozzarella, sliced button mushrooms, homemade cherry tomato confit, spicy chilli oil, basil pesto, and EVOO). If you are a non-vegetarian, go for the pizza no. 8 (tomato sauce,  Spanish pork salami, and fresh basil). You can also try their mixed meat and mozzarella board. 

Si Nonna’s tiramisu is worth mentioning; it is as good as their pannacotta with blueberries. They also offer a range of gelatos.
