The Best Mango Beverages To Get Your Hands On This Summer In Mumbai

Everywhere we see, there’s a delicious, summer-perfect mango beverage to try, and these are some of our favourites!

If you love mangoes, these are for you!

In India, mango season doesn’t arrive quietly; it takes over pretty much our whole routine. It slips into menus, spills onto streets, and somehow ends every meal on an extremely juicy, wholly sweet note. The natural next step? Everywhere you look, there’s a drink that promises to taste like summer in a glass. From everyone’s old-school favourite aamras and chilled milkshakes to cold brews, spritzes, matchas, beers and desserts you can sip, mango has officially moved far beyond the predictable. Now, mango-only menus are a non-negotiable part of summer that most of us look forward to (besides the actual fruit, of course).

What makes the summer even better is the sheer variety of it all. For all the mango-obsessed—one minute you’re sipping on a nostalgic thick shake that tastes like the summers of your childhood, and the next, you’re holding onto something light, fizzy, and completely unexpected. Yes, I’m talking about a lightly flavoured mango cider! Cafés and bars across Mumbai are leaning into the obsession, turning mango into something that works just as well for a midday cool-down as for a late-evening drink.

So if your summer plans involve chasing the best mango bevs across Mumbai (as they should), these are all the spots that are a non-negotiable. And yes, they’re very much worth making your way across the city for.

Got Tea

If there’s one brand that knows how to turn seasonal fruit into a full-blown moment, it’s Got Tea, and this summer, mango is clearly having its main-character arc. Known for a playful, flavour-forward, and authentic bubble tea menu, the café has rolled out a limited-edition mango lineup that leans into both refreshment and indulgence, depending on what you’re in the mood for.

On the menu, the Mango Passion Iced Tea is among the lighter picks, bright, fruity, slightly tangy, and designed for peak Mumbai heat. It’s exactly the kind of beverage you’d reach for when you want something cooling without the heaviness of a milk-based beverage. Speaking of milk, their Creamy Mango Matcha is a crowd favourite. It blends the grassy earthiness of matcha with the sweetness of mango: an unexpected pairing that’s been gaining traction all around the world. And yes, it tastes as delicious as it sounds (or even more).

Then there’s the Mango Summer, which plays into classic fruity refreshers, and the Mango Coconut Milk, a more tropical, dessert-like option that brings the richness of coconut together with mango. What adds a fun twist across the menu is the option to customise your drink with tender coconut toppings, giving it that extra texture and a subtle, fresh flavour.

Subko

Not one special menu that Subko doesn’t feature in! Be it strawberry or mango season, this specialty coffee spot pulls all the stops when it comes to delivering exactly what we want and need. And this year’s mango specials are no different.

Subko is known for its focus on single-origin beans, slow fermentation, artisanal roasting, and small-batch baking. Hence, it occupies the intersection between specialty café and experimental kitchen. This summer, it’s all about mangoes.

The Aam Cream Flat White (Iced) is a standout. The coffee and mango mix blends Subko’s single-origin espresso—a rather lighter, brighter roast—with a rich mango syrup. The result is not just a mango-flavoured coffee, but a creamy, slightly tropical, and balanced drink where the fruit adds to the coffee instead of overpowering it. Another option is the Cascara Aam Fizz, which shows Subko’s interest in using every part of the coffee plant. Cascara, the dried coffee cherry husk, is brewed into tea and mixed with mango syrup, then finished with a chilli salt rim. It’s sharp, refreshing, and brings back memories of tangy, sweet, and spicy mango slices sold outside school gates, but with a specialty coffee twist.

Alongside the beverages, Subko also has a generously wide food menu featuring mango exclusively, so run, don’t walk to your closest one.

Doolally

At Doolally Taproom, mango shows up on tap. Known as one of India’s early craft brewing pioneers, Doolally is among the best spots in Mumbai for playful, seasonal brews, offering some of the most unique flavours in all of time.

This Alphonso mango cider is perfect for the heat.

Their Alphonso mango cider easily wins. Unlike heavier fruit beers, this one is designed to be light, crisp, and distinctly summery—yes, you could probably chug four in one seating. It’s mildly tangy with a gentle sweetness, making it clean and refreshing for the summer time (which is basically all the time in Mumbai). At its core, it’s still a cider—so you get that familiar fermented apple base—but layered with mango notes that add a soft tropical lift.

To me, the Alphonso mango cider stands in perfectly for what Doolally does best. It takes something familiar, gives it a local, fruit-forward twist, keeping it approachable enough that even non-beer drinkers might find themselves ordering a second glass!

Blondie

Widely acknowledged as the best matcha in all of the city by avid connoisseurs, Blondie is known to have been one of the first spots to quench our thirst for matcha in Bombay, thanks to their in-house matcha bar.

Launched by Bastian Hospitality, Blondie’s matcha is sourced from Kagoshima, Japan—yes, that’s why their matcha is so high quality, and perfectly green. The cafe is woody, earthy, and full of nature-inspired elements, while the menu is so, so diverse. The best part? The beverage menu is longer (and better!) than the food menu.

And at Blondie, summer isn’t treated like a flavour drop; it’s a mood. Think slow, sunlit afternoons translated into drinks that are creamy, tropical, and indulgent, with mango taking centre stage, of course. The standout here is the Mango Matcha, which feels very on-brand for Blondie’s approach to beverages. Instead of going overboard, the drink layers ceremonial-grade matcha with housemade mango compote and oat milk. The result is textured and mellow—earthy from the matcha, rounded out by the fruit, and designed to be sipped slowly. To me, this is perhaps the best mango matcha in all of town, balancing the widely unique flavours in one drink perfectly.

Alongside the Mango Matcha, you’ll find drinks like the Mango Sticky Rice Latte and Mango Matcha Latte appearing as rotating specials, each dessert-like but anchored in that signature caffeine kick. So if you’re a mango lover, Blondie is serving up a couple of drinks that are perfect for the heat!

Bombay Sweet Shop

At Bombay Sweet Shop, mango season isn’t subtle, because nothing, really, is subtle at this spot. Known for turning mithai into something playful and design-forward, the brand approaches beverages the same way: nostalgic at the core, but dressed up as just enough indulgence to feel new.

The Mango Toffee Shake is easily the most indulgent of the lot, and very on-brand for a place that loves turning mithai into something you never expected. Built on a base of mango purée, it’s layered with caramel, creating a thick, dessert-like, deeply nostalgic treat. That sticky, chewy, slightly burnt-sugar sweetness you associate with mango candies gets translated into a creamy shake, making it feel like a grown-up version of the toffees you hoarded as a kid.

On the other end of the spectrum is the Mango Chilli Fizz, which leans into contrast rather than comfort. This one combines mango purée with that kick of tajín-style chilli seasoning, perfect for those who love the spicy, tangy, and sweet combo. This one is my favourite pick for the summer—the kind of drink that echoes the classic kachcha aam experience.

Alongside, the sweet shop also has numerous desserts and bites based entirely around mango up for grabs, so if you love the fruit, be sure to visit.
