Uppal Brewers & Distillers' Madhvan

Uppal Brewers & Distillers (UBD) has launched Madhvan, a bold new blend of Indian grain spirits and fine Scotch malt whisky. This launch comes only eight months after UBD’s debut label Soorahi was released in the market.

The word Madhvan means “nectar of the forest” (madhu meaning nectar and van meaning forest). It is bottled at 42.8% ABV in 750 ml bottles and priced at INR 990. The spirit is currently available in Delhi and Punjab, with plans for additional markets by the end of this year. Manufactured at UBD’s contract facility in Derabassi in Punjab, the whisky will be available in premium retail outlets and served at select bars and restaurants.

About Madhvan

Crafted by master blender Prabhat Barik, Madhvan opens with inviting aromas of ripe pear, tropical fruit, and soft florals, followed by rich layers of toffee, honey, and vanilla, and a gentle wave of spice. It finishes clean and medium-bodied, with subtle oak and a lingering floral-fruity warmth.

The spirit’s distinctive packaging combines modern urban aesthetics with cultural symbolism.  It features dark, grunge-inspired palettes and neon-accented tiger motifs that stand true to its bold flavours and represent inner strength, ambition, and self-belief.
