How many times has it happened that all you crave for is a place that feels familiar yet serves a fun vibe with great food? In short, someplace where you can just be and enjoy time out from the regular stuff. Now, Delhi is finally home to one such space.
After years of building fine dining spaces like Café Dalí and VINCI, restaurateurs Prateek and Priyam have launched something closer to home, Dumbo Deli, now open in Lodhi Colony’s Meherchand Market. The new deli-bar brings together the duo’s love for simple pleasures: good coffee, fresh sandwiches, and an inviting bar that feels personal rather than polished.

Deli To Dive Bar
Dumbo Deli starts its mornings with Florentine-style sandwiches, inspired by Prateek’s travels through Italy. Expect familiar comfort with creative twists, from crispy chicken with molten cheese to prosciutto, melon, and stracciatella drizzled with lemon zest and balsamic. Alongside these, Priyam curates a thoughtful matcha menu, whisked with ceremonial care and changing with the seasons.
As the day winds down, Dumbo transforms into an easygoing dive bar post 8 pm, serving cocktails crafted by Prateek, including the soon-to-be-signature espresso martini. The cocktail experience here is deliberately intimate, limited to just eight guests, so reservations are a must. Prateek takes over behind the counter, serving easy-drinking yet finely balanced cocktails, led by the soon-to-be-signature espresso martini. The focus is on good music, better conversations, and an atmosphere that encourages lingering.
“For years, we built fancy restaurants,” says Prateek. “But what we missed most was simplicity—a place where we’d actually want to hang out.” At Dumbo, both founders are hands-on: Prateek behind the bar, Priyam behind the matcha counter. The pair sees Dumbo as more than a single location. Their vision is to grow it into a neighbourhood hangout brand, one that could pop up anywhere.
