New restaurants in Bengaluru

If you are in Bengaluru and planning an outing with your family and friends but tired of dining at the same places, here’s a roundup of the city’s new eateries and restaurants. From pan-Asian restaurants to a bistro doing great continental food, Bengaluru’s food space is expanding more than ever before. Here’s a list of the city’s new restaurants that you must check out before making the next plan.

Mai Mai

One of the city’s newest pan-Asian restaurants, Mai Mai opened its doors in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar, this August. The name is derived from the Cantonese word mai mai which translates to grain, the humble beginning of every great meal.

The 30-seater space features simple and clean interiors that allow the food to take centre stage. It is the brainchild and debut restaurant of Yash and Megha Bhatia. Some highlights from the menu include their fried lotus root chips served with an assortment of dips, cream cheese and pepper chicken dimsums, togarashi grilled cottage cheese where the paneer is brined in soy sauce that works well with the togarashi spices, their iconic bibimbap, and the Pakushi sea bass fish.

The restaurant does not serve alcohol but brews in-house kombucha and other fresh mocktails like the ginger beer. For desserts, go for their dark chocolate and mandarin cake or the whiskey-infused chocolate mousse.

Address: 621A, 12th Main Rd, 7th Cross, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar.

Juliana’s Bistro

Opened by the owners of the Safina Plaza, Juliana’s Bistro on Bengaluru‘s Infantry Road is Juliana’s Bistro that would be a great spot to indulge in coffee and conversation after a tiring shopping spree at the plaza

When it comes to the interiors, shades of green and brown dominate the space and the walls feature beautiful artworks. It also offers outdoor seating that could make for a great spot only if the weather is in your favour.
