To mark its first anniversary in Delhi, Avartana introduces a nine-course Sunday lunch that reimagines South Indian flavours with artistry, balance, and modern flair.
Avartana at ITC Maurya completes one year in Delhi, reaffirming its commitment to redefining South Indian cuisine with precision, creativity, and restraint. To mark the milestone, the restaurant introduces a new Sunday Lunch—a nine-course tasting menu that captures the rhythm and depth of Southern flavours through a contemporary lens.
The Sunday lunch menu presents a thoughtful progression of courses that balance comfort and surprise. Each dish draws inspiration from South India’s diverse culinary landscape, interpreted with modern techniques and refined presentation.
The experience begins with the French Pressed Tomato Rasam, a fragrant, clear broth that sets the tone for the meal. It moves on to dishes like Stir-Fried Chicken, Cauliflower Crunch, and Uthukuli Chicken, each offering familiar regional notes reimagined with precision. Bottlegourd tempered delicately and paired with a tangy plum chutney highlights Avartana’s ability to balance simplicity and innovation.

A standout course, the shrimp dumpling with fresh coriander and a touch of heat, pays homage to India’s dumpling traditions while introducing contemporary flair. The meal concludes with a Fennel Pannacotta, infused with aromatic spices and topped with golden angel hair caramel—a subtle, modern dessert that captures the essence of the menu’s ethos.
Complementing the menu is Avishka, a curated selection of cocktails inspired by South India’s spices and botanicals. Each drink mirrors the kitchen’s philosophy—rooted in tradition yet presented with a modern twist—rounding out the anniversary experience with balance and depth.
Located on the rooftop of ITC Maurya, Avartana offers a calm, elegant space overlooking the green ridge. The 54-seater restaurant, including a private dining room for ten guests, allows diners to enjoy a quiet, immersive meal. The design pairs muted tones with rustic earthenware, steel cutlery, and contemporary glassware. The open kitchen provides a glimpse into the precise artistry behind each plate.
The nine-course tasting menu is priced at INR 3750 plus taxes per person and is served every Sunday from 12:30 pm to 2:45 pm.
