Here’s Where You Can Find Delhi NCR’s Best Pizza

Looking for Delhi NCR's best pizzerias? Here's a list that will help you choose your best pick when you are craving a well-made pizza.

Since Delhi has new eateries coming up every fortnight, it can sometimes be confusing and intimidating to navigate through the innumerable options that the city offers. If you are a pizza-lover and confused about where to head for a well-made pizza, we have got you covered. Here’s a roundup of pizzerias in he city that you must-try the next time you wish to enjoy a pizza.

EVOO

For many in Delhi, EVOO tops the list of places they head to when they crave a well-made pizza. It is a no-frills restaurant, usually dimly lit if you visit at night and allows you to focus all your attention on the food on their menu.

Their second outpost opened up in Gurugram recently, which also serves alcohol, but the one in Malviya Nagar remains on the list of restaurants in the city that are always full despite not serving alcohol. Making a reservation before you drop in is always a good idea because evenings are always crowded at EVOO.

Some of the must-tries from the menu if you are vegetarian include their melanza and burrata pizza, sundried tomato or wild mushroom risotto, and their grilled vegetable panuozzo. However, if you prefer pesto on your pizza, you must also try their almond pesto pizza.

If you are a non-vegetarian, I am told that you must try their smoked chicken or Alfredo chicken pizza and pair it up with the linguini carbonara or grilled chicken breast filled with Italian cheese and sundried tomatoes.

You should close your meal with their classic tiramisu (some claim it is the best the city offers) or the chocolate, almond, and orange torte.

Bomba

One of Delhi NCR’s first pizzeria and taqueria is Bomba, which has two outposts in the city (one on MG Road and the other in Greater Kailash-3). It is an inviting eatery, and the ambience will make you feel like you have entered your class 3 sketch book. It is cute.

Some must-try dishes from their roster include the truffle wild mushroom spaghetti, fab four pizza, OF Hottie 2.0 (which is considered to be one of the best non-vegetarian pizzas on the menu), pork carnitas, and chipotle prawn taco. Their most loved dessert is the skillet cookie paired with vanilla ice cream, which you should try.

Tossin Pizza

With multiple outlets throughout Delhi NCR, I was recently introduced to Tossin Pizza by a friend, and you must try it too. Some standouts from the menu that most loyalists order almost always include their pull-apart cheese garlic bread, exotic Naples veg or the classic pesto veg from their gourmet vegetarian pizzas. For meat eaters, the Florentine chicken and the meat lovers are two pizzas you must try.

In addition to their pizzas, you could also pick Napolitana, chicken pesto, or lamb bolognese pasta. You could also give their calazones a shot.

Pizzeria Da Susy

Started by chef Susanna Di Cosimo, who was born and brought up in Naples, this establishment has been winning the hearts of pizza lovers and connoisseurs across Delhi NCR since it opened its doors.

If you are a vegetarian, some must-tries from the menu include the bomba frita, burrata salad, spinacci and ricotta pizza, and ortolana pizza. However, if you are a non-vegetarian, going for the prosciutto and melone salad is a great way to start the meal.

Go for diavol, mortazza, or pollo pizza from their pizza roster. Their tiramisu is known to be perfect for ending the meal.

Price for two: INR 2,000 (excluding taxes and alcohol)

Address: 109-110, 1st Floor, Crosspoint Mall, DLF Phase 4, Gurgaon

Cecillia’s Pizzeria

If there is one place I go back to repeatedly, it is Cecillia’s Pizzeria, and my favourite pick from the pizzeria is their truffle bianca pizza. The pesto di pizza and zuccotta are delicious too. Though they have a compact roster, each preparation is as promising as the other. For non-vegetarians, their bacon e rucola, and classica pizza e pepperoni are diner favourites. Cecilia’s offers an option for you to make your pizza too. They are hosting a pizza-making workshop, which you could also sign up for (side note: it is great fun).

From their artisanal handmade pasta section, one must go for the Roman dreams (hand-rolled ricotta gnocchi, basil pesto, and mustard cream), pasta arabiatta, or salsa bianca. Their desserts are worth trying, too. Try the Sicilian cheesecake or the amaretto tres leches. Both are great.
