Chivas Regal introduces Crystalgold, a transparent whisky made with a bespoke blend and pioneering filtration—uniting innovation and classic Scotch craftsmanship
Luxury Scotch whisky brand Chivas Regal has announced the global launch of Chivas Regal Crystalgold, a first-of-its-kind clear whisky that blends tradition with innovation. The whisky that looks unlike anything in its portfolio—clear in appearance but unmistakably Chivas in flavour.
Chivas Regal Crystalgold is made from a bespoke blend of aged whiskies, refined through a proprietary filtration process developed by the Chivas blending team. This process removes the spirit’s colour while retaining its signature depth and aroma, resulting in a transparent liquid that maintains the full-bodied taste Chivas is known for. The whisky is positioned as a versatile spirit that can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed into cocktails, appealing to both traditional whisky fans and new-generation drinkers looking for lighter, more flexible options.
“We’ve always believed that innovation should enhance tradition, not replace it,” said Sandy Hyslop, Master Blender, Chivas Regal. “Crystalgold pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in blending. After years of experimentation, we’ve developed a process that delivers clarity without compromising flavour—a whisky that challenges expectations but still feels familiar.”
The launch is being led by Chivas Regal Global Brand Ambassador and Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc, whose precision and drive mirror the innovation behind Crystalgold. To mark the release, Leclerc has collaborated with the brand to create a new signature serve—the Leclerc Spritz—a bright cocktail made with citrus, elderflower, mint, champagne, and Chivas Regal Crystalgold. The drink is designed to reflect the whisky’s lighter character and adaptability, offering a refreshing option for afternoon or early-evening occasions.
“With more consumers seeking spirits that suit social, daytime moments, Chivas Regal Crystalgold fills an important space in our portfolio,” said Nick Blacknell, Marketing Director, Chivas Regal. “It’s lighter and more versatile, but it stays true to the craft and quality people associate with Chivas.”
Chivas Regal Crystalgold will be available in select global markets starting this season, with a gradual rollout planned in the months ahead. The launch marks a new chapter for the brand, signalling its continued commitment to evolving with modern tastes while staying rooted in the craftsmanship that defines its legacy.
